The word ecology is derived from Greek word oikos which means house, our home. From this it follows that we need to love and cherish our home, the earth. Ecology is the study of entire world life, from tiny bacteria to processes that span the entire planet. Ecology deals with nature, life of human, spices, environment, the movement of materials and energy through living communities. Today as we see the entire environment of the world is changing. Because of that there is climate change, pollution, deforestation, problem of water, and we also can see the decline in the quality of human life. It is all because of human beings scientific experiment on nature. The nature is being exploited through wasteful, profligate, and predatory practices by modern profit oriented scientific technology culture by industries, agriculture experiments through chemicals, and communication. Due to this life of human beings are under threat of death. In order to safe our life today it’s each one duty to safe guard the earth and life. We also need to understand that technology products are not neutral, for they create a framework which ends up conditioning lifestyles. In the name of development human beings are keep on polluting the earth. The choice before us today is not either economic development or the preservation of ecology balance. We need them both. In our country where millions of human beings are deprived of the basic needs of human existence and undergo of many crisis; like Global warming and Climate Change, Air Pollution, Soil Pollution, natural calamities, scarcity of water and the list goes on.
In order to take any step towards protecting our environment surrounding, we need awareness, which can come only from studying subjects related to our ecosystems. Therefore education is must to protect the nature. Because Environment education makes people understanding the importance of renewable energy. Non renewable sources of energy like petrol, diesel etc are the major sources of the world's pollution. Using renewable sources like solar energy, wind energy etc is encouraged environment education and is imperative in our fight against global warming.
